Katie Cassidy Cast as Lucy Ewing

It seems the rumors of Jessica Simpson being cast in Fox's film adaptation of the popular television series Dallas are over as Variety reports that Katie Cassidy will star in the film as Lucy Ewing.
The news was reported in a small casting announcment on the site after there were plenty of rumors being spread around the Net of the casting beginning in late June.
The 19 year-old actress was last seen in Click with Adam Sandler and was also featured in Sony Pictures' When a Stranger Calls earlier this year.
Dallas is still in preproduction and is set to hit theaters in 2007. For more on the film click here.
