Justin Bieber Biopic On the Way in 3D
I guess you don't need many miles in life for a movie
How much story is there to tell when it comes to 16-year-old pop sensation Justin Bieber? Enough to fill a feature length film apparently as An Inconvenient Truth helmer Davis Guggenheim is reportedly negotiating to direct an Untitled Justin Bieber Biopic, which will also be released in 3D no less.
Details on just what exactly the story will entail are sketchy at the moment, but word is Bieber will play himself in the film which "will be sprinkled with performances from his current concert tour." The pic is already set for a Valentine's Day weekend, February 11, 2011 release through Paramount Pictures.
Bieber, then 13-years-old, became a star after his performances on YouTube were seen by Scooter Braun, after which he was introduced to R&B star Usher. Usher and Braun then established a joint venture to release Bieber's work with the young singer's first album dropping back in November 2009. His debut single, "One Time", was released worldwide during 2009, and charted within the top 30 in over ten countries. It was followed by his debut release, My World on November 17, 2009, which was certified platinum in the United States, which at the time gave Bieber the highest debut by a new artist in the year, and made Bieber the first artist to have seven songs from a debut album chart on the Billboard Hot 100. His first full studio release, My World 2.0 was released on March 23, 2010 and has since received similar success; debuting at number one and within the top ten of several countries and was certified platinum in less than two months of release in the United States. It was preceded by international hit song "Baby" in January 2010.
How popular is this kid? Mike Fleming at Deadline believes part of the breakout success of this summer's The Karate Kid is due in part to the video Bieber made with Jaden Smith for the song "Never Say Never". On top of that, his recently released video "Baby" featuring Ludacris has had nearly 271 million views on YouTube since being released on February 19. That's a lot of views.
Bieber tweeted the news on his personal Twitter account saying, "Next Valentine's we r coming with a major 3D Movie telling the story with an Oscar winning director and also filmin the tour at MSG in NYC!! This is so sick!! Gonna come out in theatre's Worldwide Valentine's 2011!!! I'm taking this thing worldwide thanks to u all!! Hyped!!"
Featured just below is a taste of Bieber's work, a brand new video just released titled "Love Me" which he made for his fanbase thanking them "for the amazing support they have given [him] around the world."

Teen singers and their agents did the same stupid things 50 years ago. But now it's even more stupid, because people apparently haven't gotten any wiser.

It's so easy for teens today to see their favorite videos on-line anytime. It was a different story back in the day when we had to sit by the tv, finger on the record button of the vcr and wait for something good to come on. Remember that? It's no wonder the justinbiebers are doing well. But a biopic for a kid this age..? I guess they'll do whatever will make their payday.

Really? What kind of conflict has he had in his life that'd make any sort of interesting film? If you have to do a biopic on someone that's way too young to have a biopic, at least do it on Lady Gaga. Then at least you'd get some spectacle and not some girly boy trying to act gangster.

Also, just because we don't like a certain person it doesn't mean jealousy. He's not that talented, it proves anybody can sing and dance and then, years later, no one give a flying f*** about them.

Either you're playing some kind of late, shitty April Fools prank, or this is the first sign of 2012! How the hell does THIS GUY deserve a biopic. And, In 3D!? Who the hell does this guy think he is?
This "guy" gets a biopic for one reason, and one reason only.
Money.
There is no other reason. None. This will be a cash cow. It will make lots and lots of money, and I can't so much fault the studio for doing it. There is a market for this crap, and they are meeting the demand for it.
I won't see it. But millions upon millions of sheep will.
Justin Bieber gets a bio pic and next…Miley Cyrus gets a lifetime achievement award. Then Selena Gomez gets an Oscar for her role as Sarah Palin and Lady Gaga gets elected president. The earth shall crack open at the Mexican border and a river formed from the blood of aborted fetuses shall flow through Hollywood! The un dead shall walk again and feed on the flesh of the living and the tears of Glenn Beck will fall from the sky! Maury Povich will pull off his face and reveal himself to be Satan and take his rightful place as the number one trending topic on Twitter.
I have no idead who Justin Bieber is, only that he's popular with teenage girls, the same demographic that gives $700 million dollars to the Twilight movies, so I assume it's not my kind of celebrity. And that he sings. Or pretends to.
