John Moore to Direct 'Material Breach'?
New Line acquires new political thriller
I can't imagine anyone wanting to work with John Moore. Granted, I don't know the guy personally and have never met him, but I have watched him parade around the set like an ass on the Flight of the Phoenix DVD special features and then I saw the travesty of a remake The Omen. So why New Line would consider him for a political thriller is beyond me.
The scoop from Variety is that NL has acquired the Don Winston-scripted political thriller Material Breach and is in negotiations with Moore to direct the feature.
The story is a contemporary thriller concerning a secret government group that brings in a man once accused of terrorist acts to help plan attacks on Washington.
