Joaquin Phoenix Retiring From Movies? You be the Judge

Either We Own the Night hurt Joaquin Phoenix's career big time or he is really fucking around big time with E! Online because in this red carpet interview he leads us to believe Two Lovers, directed by James Gray, will be his last film. When the E! interviewer begins to laugh at the idea, thinking Joaq is messing with him Phoenix gets upset and storms off.
Before storming off he says:
"Listen, I want to take this opportunity… also to give you the exclusive and just talk a little bit about the fact that this will be my last performance as an actor… I'm not doing films anymore."
When asked if he's serious he says, "Yeah, I'm just going to do music."

I gotta say…that dude seemed like he was high off his fuckin ass…
If I had to guess, Id say hes gonna "retire" for a few years MAYBE, then make his way back in…and Im guessing itll be a big blockbuster type movie.
He's going to return as the Joker in the fourth Batman film! That's what I hope at least.
I am pretty sure that he was joking. Casey was probably just going along with it. He wasn't even sure what to say at the end there.
that was just strange, I don't know what to make of it.
I'm devistated – he's the best actor around now and can't believe he would give it up. Can't his friends or family talk him out of it?
