Jigsaw is Playing on 'Highway 61'
Will this guy now sustain a career?
I personally don't see a major career in the future for Tobin Bell who's claim to fame is playing the role of Jigsaw in the horror film series Saw. However, that doesn't mean he won't be getting nice little bit parts in low budget features for the next couple of years and that he won't be able to make random surprise appearances at teen award shows.
Bell's first stop on the low budget feature trail appears to be Highway 61 for Halcyon Pictures and Prankster Film Co. with those crazy devils Luke and Jeremy Jackson at the helm. Yeah, I don't know who they are either.
Anyhow, the story chronicles a struggling rock group whose manager arranges a meeting with the Devil at the Crossroads, the intersection in Mississippi made famous by blues icon Robert Johnson. We are also told that the acting talent of Nick Thune (don't know him either) stars as the lead guitarist.
Filming is already underway, with shooting set for Idaho, Utah and Los Angeles.
