Jeffrey Wright Back for 'Bond 22'
Another familiar face returns...
In an article at Variety formally announcing Diving Bell and the Butterfly star Mathieu Amalric as the villain in James Bond 22 we also receive word that Jeffrey Wright will return as CIA agent Felix Leiter, a character he played in 2006's Casino Royale.
Currently this is very little word on the film's synopsis and even less word on the rest of the cast even though several names have been tossed about.
What is known is that the film will delve deeper into Bond's psyche and just began production today at Pinewood Studios in London with a release date of November 7, 2008.
The title of the film is obviously still unknown as well as it is continuing to be referred to as James Bond 22, but there has been rumors recently thanks to an interview with star Daniel Craig, that it may in fact be simply titled 007, but that, for now, is only rumor.
