Janssen Confirmed for 'X-3'
The Phoenix will rise.
Considering we all pretty much knew from early rumors and reports that Famke Janssen would be returning for X-Men 3, but it is certainly nice to read the following quote in which the casting rumor is confirmed:
will indeed be a bigger part of X-3 like she wanted.
The demise of Janssen's psychic character in the last go-around will not be ignored, as she will this time evolve into a character called the Phoenix.
The story also goes on to say that Hugh Jackman has already made a deal to return as Wolverine and Halle Berry, Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart are all three moving in the same direction as Jackman and Janssen, so it seems Halle just couldn't hold out, or Storm will indeed be a bigger part of X-3 like she wanted.
X-Men 3 is scheduled to begin shooting this summer for a May 26, 2006 release.
