It's About Pitt for 'Schmidt'
New flick for Brad Pitt.
Nope, it's not an About Schmidt prequel, this is a new script by Steve Conran, which was just picked up by Sony for more than $1 million according to Variety and Brad Pitt is currently set to star in the lead role and then some.
The film, titled Chad Schmidt, concerns an actor who moves to Los Angeles in the late 1980s to pursue his dream of movie stardom — only to find he bears a strong resemblance to another up-and-coming actor named Brad Pitt. As Pitt's career reaches a dazzling level of fame, Schmidt becomes an uncastable joke.
Yeah, sounds cheesy to me too.
