It is the business of making movies and removing as little risk as possible from losing massive amounts of money. By making the film more accessible it allows the film to be made at all and perhaps future films. To pay people like Tim Burton and Johnny Depp and provide them with state of the art production/post production teams takes a lot of funding. Negotiating with the Director who wants his film to succeed is a win-win situation. You dont understand at all.
