Is This the Controversial 'Wristcutters' Ad?
Come on people, it's all about love...
On Monday I posted an article talking about the current controversy brewing around the upcoming After Dark campaign for their film Wristcutters: A Love Story. Word was that they may feature images of people jumping off a bridge, electrocuting and hanging themselves, they would be displayed as traffic-style stop or yield signs with a barring-style circle and line over the illustrations, along with hearts to reference the film's romantic story line.
Well, if the ad below taken from the film's MySpace page is an example of what they were going to do I must say it shouldn't be much of a controversy. In fact… me likey, especially considering the title.
Take it all in below and click the pic for more images from the film. Wristcutters is currently eyeing a limited release on August 31, get more on the film here. The film stars Patrick Fugit, Shannyn Sossamon, Shea Whigham, Tom Waits, John Hawkes, Will Arnett, Leslie Bibb and Abraham Benrubi.
