Is the Story of Chris Columbus Wrong?
The Discovery Channel plans on going deep into the history of Christopher Columbus to unlock the SECRETS FROM THE GRAVE. Every schoolchild knows the story of Christopher Columbus, the son of a Genoese weaver who grew up and discovered America. But what if that story was wrong?
The special program will premiere August 1st at 10 PM (ET) and will make an effort to evaluate new scientific evidence that challenges the traditional biography of Columbus — where he was born, where his remains rest, and the identity of his parents.
Where was Columbus really from? Why did he keep his origins shrouded in mystery? Was he really Italian? Could he have been a pirate, a Jew fleeing from the Inquisition, or the illegitimate son of a Spanish aristocrat?
