Is a Tom Cruise Spoof Funny? How about if It is Damn Near Perfect?
Superhero Movie gives Fanboys a reason not to boycott
I would never, ever, ever, ever recommend anyone see Superhero Movie even though I have never seen it. I have seen the trailer (terrible). I have seen Scary Movie and Scary Movie 3 (both terrible). I have seen the trailers for Scary Movie 2, Scary Movie 4, Epic Movie, Date Movie and Meet the Spartans (terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible and terrible).
However, this clip from Superhero Movie so closely resembles Tom Cruise it is actually funny… that is until it goes on too long and it gets a bit wacky and then makes you realize it is from Superhero Movie and you hang yourself for even laughing.
Check it out, I think you will enjoy it for at least half the time.

Okay…I love this site…but Wow come on you seem to hate any comedy that isn't somehow like the over rated "Knocked Up" or Superbad…(which was good..but>) I agree Date movie and most of the spoofs are Horrible but the first scary movie was Bang On for what it was Part 2 onward absolutely sucked large. So I guess I thought I'd put an opposing point of view out there..
Hey howgoes, I actually didn't really like Knocked Up and I was the same with Superbad, I think Laremy reviewed both of those. I was actually one of the few reviewers that liked Semi-Pro, but I will totally agree with you, comedy is something I have not found a lot of enjoyment in recently. However, I though In Bruges was one of the funniest films I have seen in a very long time. Who knows, maybe I am dead inside. :)
I had a bizarre dream last night (nightmare?) among the many bizarre stuff in it was me reading several reviews (Ebert, USA Today, EW are what I remember for sure) that were giving Superhero Movie 4 stars or A or whatever. And for the first minutes after waking up I was under the impression this was reality.
I'm thinking I should talk to a shrink about this.
