Is This Nic Cage as Tim Burton's Superman?
Plus another trip back in time with Kevin Smith
Photo: TimBurtonJP
Twitter user and website TimBurtonJP has caused an online storm of speculation based on the image you see directly above, which appears to be Nicolas Cage in a test shot as Superman for Tim Burton's long-aborted Superman Lives. Is it? Could it be?
The picture comes from the below video, which also includes conceptual artwork, with the final piece being the most similar to that seen in the image. Next to that is an earlier video posted by the same user back in July of concept art for what was to be the film's villain, Brainiac. However, the legitimacy of either photo montage is up for speculation.
You be the judge and then watch the age old video of Kevin Smith talking about his involvement with the project.

I remember reading Smith's Superman script a few years ago and being really happy by the end of it that it wasn't the Superman we got. Not a bad script but it just felt too much like a comic book.
That story Kevin Smith told about John Peters producing Wild Wild West is hilarious. The Giant Spider made that movie that much worse (4/10)
Please, please no. I can't take Nicolas Cage in a Tim Burton Superman story. Give me Brandon Routh any day.
Thank god this never panned out! this would have sunk superheroes movies worse than batman ans robin; as ridiculous as nic looks. you just know jhonny depp was going to end up as the mars attack reject, lol.
Wow, omg!
It's not as if the 2006 movie ws any good. It felt too old hat. This was at least trying to do something atypical. Shame it never worked out.
Though it is well done, I am fairly certain this is a photo shop forgery. To me it looks like a composite image and there are places particularly around the neck that are not clearly defined
In fact, looking at it agai. I think the person who created this picture took a picture of a superman action figure and superimposed a picture of Nicholas Cage's head shot over it
Houses and cars are not cheap and not everybody can buy it. Nevertheless, personal loans are created to aid different people in such cases.
