Internet's Yellow Band Trailer is 'Unborn'
Perhaps a trend is beginning...
I have no idea what it means for something to be "Age-Appropriate for Internet Users" but apparently that is what a yellow band at the beginning of some online trailers means. From what I can tell it began with Rob Zombie's Halloween in 2007, was used again on Burn After Reading and The Strangers and is now being utilized for a new trailer for David Goyer's The Unborn, a new horror starring Megan Fox Odette Yustman from Cloverfield and wouldja-know-it, Gary Oldman.
The film appears to have something of a "birth of the devil" vibe to it as some chick (Yustman) is being haunted by a kid that apparently "was never born". Yup, it's a scary kid flick and I'll be honest, it doesn't look half bad, but that's as long as they stick to their premise and don't try some silly twist ending.
You can watch the trailer below and look for the film in January 2009. I have no idea why they are pushing this one so hard, but Rogue even showed a trailer for it prior to my Zack and Miri screening awhile back so they must think it is something special.

It does look pretty good, but it seems familiar. Like we've seen it before.
I like how there are two characters from Dexter in it, even if they are small roles.
Yeah, I was thinking it had something of an Omen/Godsend vibe to it, but I can't quite figure out if she is possessed or what exactly is going on. Because she is seeing things and folks are being snatched and dragged through walls.
