International Trailer for Jean-Pierre Jeunet's 'Micmacs'
We can always count on Jean-Pierre for originality
Back in March I posted 11 images from Jean-Pierre Jeunet's next film Micmacs a tire-larigot and today we get our first look at actual footage as Twitch delivers the international trailer for his follow up to A Very Long Engagement and if you have seen either Amélie (one of my favorite films of all-time) or Delicatassen it is quickly evident we are returning to the playful world of Jeunet.
The film centers on a character named Bazil (Dany Boon) who is the son of a bomb disposal expert who died in in the middle of the Moroccan desert as a result of a an explosive device. Years later Bazil is in a club and receives a stray bullet in the head. He survives but must live with the bullet wedged in his head, which causes some strange side effects. He loses his job and soon gathers a rag-tag group and sets out to take down the two weapons manufacturers, which caused his life's misfortune.
Check out the teaser below, and let's hope we get a version with subtitles soon. There is still no release date planned or as far as I know a domestic distributor attached, so stay tuned.
