A new series would be spectacular. But unfortunately Enterprise, which I happened to like and I thought was a step in the right direction as far as time period setting, and its poor ratings put the kibosh on that for awhile. The Star Trek universe is big and rich enough to come up with something new, why go the prequel way? I'm more hoping for a new series that follows up voyager timewise. I find this such a shame.
