'Hostel 2' Already On DVD

Turn down the right street in Santee Alley and you can find anything

Hey there horror fans and folks over at Lionsgate if you head over to Santee Alley in L.A. you will find a gentleman selling bootleg copies of Hostel: Part II as the DVD appears to be already out on the streets prior to its June 8th release.

A writer for MovieWeb is reporting the news and it isn't like this is a new phenomenon, it is just the first time I can remember someone writing about it on our little ring of movie news sites and I thought it was interesting.

The writer goes on to say that he ran across a man in the middle of the street selling a pile of Hostel: Part II DVDs and he picked up a copy for five dollars. He goes on to describe the copy as flawless studio quality and that the words "AK-Bigel Entertainment Property of Screen Gems" can be found on the lower portion of the video.

How this will affect Hostel II's box-office take has to be minimal since I have to assume, like I said earlier, that this happens with just about every movie that gets released; we just don't hear about it.

I think it is unfortunate that it happens, and I don't know how to stop it since bootlegs have been around since the beginning of time and it is only going to get easier with the advancements in technology.
