Hopper and Grammar Vie for Presidency
New Costner ensemble flick draws in plenty
Joshua Michael Stern's Swing Vote has added a large list of names as Dennis Hopper, Nathan Lane, Stanley Tucci, George Lopez and newcomer Madeline Carroll join Kevin Costner in the populist comedy written by Jason Richman and Stern.
The film revolves around a single father thrust into the national spotlight when the presidential election comes down to his vote. Costner plays an apathetic working-class single dad who’s thrust on the world stage when the presi-dential election comes down to his vote.
Hopper and Grammer will play the Democratic candidate and Republican incumbent, while Lane and Tucci will play their respective campaign managers.
Lopez will play the local TV station manager whose town is descended upon by the political machinery of both parties.
Filming begins this month with hopes to sell the feature at the Cannes Film Festival in May.
