Hoffman On for Kaufman's Debut
Writer now becomes director
Production Weekly is reporting that Philip Seymour Hoffman is set to star in screenwriter Charlie Kaufman's directorial debut Synecdoche.
The film apparently centers on an anguished playwright and several women in his life. There was no word, although I have to assume, that Kaufman penned the script.
Michelle Williams is also attached to star in the film which is set to begin filming in early summer 2007.
Kaufman penned such films as Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Adaptation and Being John Malkovich.
