His Name's Lotso and He's In 'Toy Story 3'
And the pieces sloooooooooowly fall into place
Upcoming Pixar has pointed me to news from Pixar Collector reporting the character you see above is named Lotso and apparently he will be featured in Toy Story 3 due in theaters on June 18, 2010.
This isn't the first time this character has been mentioned, as his existence was first brought up by Jonas Rivera, the producer of next week's new Pixar film Up, told MTV you could watch the teaser trailer for Up and "under her bed is one of the new stars of Toy Story 3." As you can see in the image below, Lotso is featured in the lower left corner of a room filled with Pixar memorabilia.
Pixar is known for hiding past and future characters in all of their films so be on the look out when Up hits theaters on May 29, there may be more.

wonder who's gonna do the voice? needs to be someone that sounds cuddly….
Is he really gonna be the villain like what some commenter on another site says? If true, boy, pink teddy bear sales are gonna take a hit hahaha
@Taithleach: no, his voice should be an ironic deep man voice
Wasn't he briefly in Toy Story 1, you know when Woody asks whether the toys on the shelves could here him for the meeting and their a pink bear genturing at him that he could hear?
@Awesome Guy:
how about Harvey Fierstein?
I vote Michael Clarke Duncan.
I can see john goodman doing it lol …. seth rogen seems like a move pixar might do since the guy is in everything and that gets older audiences in the theaters i bet.
I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure I saw the pink teddy bear in the Princess and the Frog trailer….you can see it briefly after the frog speaks to her and she screams, falls backwards and lands in a pile of toys.
Watch Toy Story 2, when Rex accidentally turns the TV to Big Al's comercial, is that a quick flash of Lotso or not?
I just watched TS2 last night, and yes, I saw Lotso in the Al's commercial. I also saw him in person at WDW, but that's another story.
I think I heard that Kristen Schaal is voicing a new character in Toy Story 3…
@pixar fan c::
actually, lotso is being voiced by ned beatty
That ball seen in the picture is also seen in Pixar's very first movie: Tin Toy.
