Hellboy is Revealed
World War II is nearing an end and the Nazis plan to make an attempt to aid their cause through the use of black magic. During the ceremony the Nazi camp is raided by the Allies, but not before a demon, Hellboy, is born. The Allied forces are joined by the demon who grows into adulthood serving good as opposed to the evil that brought him into the world. He becomes an agent of the Bureau of Paranormal Research and defense, and is joined by an aquatic-humanoid partner, Abe Sapien, and Pyrokinetic agent Liz Sherman. Together they investigate strange sightings and, if necessary, destroy them.
Hellboy is based on the character and comic books created by writer/artist Mike Mignola. Hellboy will be played by Ron Perlman, and the film will also star Selma Blair, John Hurt, and Doug Jones. The movie will be directed by Guillermo del Toro and filming began in the Czech capital of Prague on March of this year and is expected to be released Summer of 2004.
