Hartnett and Harris Make Date for 'August'
New indie nails down duo
Josh Hartnett and Naomie Harris are set to star inAugust for director Austin Chick from a script penned by Howard Rodman.
The story revolves around two brothers who try to keep their startup financial company afloat on Wall Street a month before the Sept. 11 attacks. Hartnett will play one of the brothers. Harris will be the female lead.
Personally I think Hartnett is really growing as an actor despite how bad The Black Dahlia was, it wasn't his fault. I also think he did particularly well in Wicker Park and Lucky Number Slevin, both of which were mediocre, but once again not due to his performance.
Harris is coming off a nice year last year with a good performance in the disappointing Miami Vice and an against type role for the hottie as Tia Dalma in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, a role she will reprise in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.
Production on August is slated to begin in April in New York.
