Harris Joins Up with 'Pirates'
Naomie Harris joins the Pirates of the Caribbean sequels.
The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed Stellan Skarsgård's addition to the Pirates of the Caribbean sequels while at the same time announcing Naomie Harris as part of the cast as well.
Skarsgård will indeed be playing Orlando Bloom's long-lost father, Bootsrap Bill, while Harris will play a gypsy queen. Moviehole.net also weighs in with some expanded news on the character as a scooper emails them saying, "She apparently gave a great audition as Tia Dalma, a spooky gyspy queen that comes complete with tats, dreads…you get the picture. She's a freakish character, and Harris apparently nailed it – she'll be back for the third one too."
Skarsgård's career is pretty well known, but Harris you may recognize from last year's zombie flick, 28 Days Later and just maybe from the Brosnan bomb After the Sunset.
We have also removed the rumored additions of Salma Hayek and Chun Yun-Fat from the cast of the two Pirates films until more official news is announced.
