Hallstrom to Direct Dickens
'A Christmas Carol' to be told again
I am not sure how many times Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" can be told, but apparently Universal Pictures thinks one more time is in order as they have set Lasse Hallström as the director of yet another adaptation of the classic tale.
The story will get a bit of an adjustment as it will be told through the eyes of a 40-year-old scrooge, but I highly doubt it will make much difference. Perhaps if Vern Troyer gets the part of Tiny Tim, that might make it interesting.
Hallström last directed Casanova.
