Gyllenhaal Will Replace Holmes in 'Dark Knight'
Looks like Holmes is officially gone
Maggie Gyllenhaal is in final talks to replace Katie Holmes as Rachel Dawes in The Dark Knight, the follow-up to Batman Begins reports Variety.
The news was first reported back in February by LatinoReview once word circled that Holmes had dropped out of the project.
The Dark Knight begins filming in the late spring 2007 or early summer for a July 18, 2008 release.
