Gyllenhaal Replaces Holmes in 'Batman 2'?
Could this already be over?
This doesn't seem like much of a rumor and since LatinoReview gave us solid news on the casting of Heath Ledger as The Joker I am running with their latest word that Maggie Gyllenhaal is set to replace Katie Holmes in The Dark Knight as Rachel Dawes.
The site goes on to say that the news was, "Confirmed by two of my strongest on the money sources." Okay, great.
The Dark Knight opens in theaters July 18, 2008.
Oh yeah, the new rumor is that Aaron Eckhart will play Harvey Dent. He joins the list of such names as Ethan Hawke, Guy Pearce, Hugh Jackman and Ryan Phillippe.
