'Grindhouse' Getting Split DVD Release?
Looks like 'Death Proof' is getting all the love
In my opinion there is no doubt that Death Proof was the best part of the Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez double feature Grindhouse, and I can't wait to see the extended version which I assume will be on DVD. The question here is when will it be on DVD?
Well, according to DavisDVD.com we can look forward to a Death Proof only DVD on September 18th with no word on the release of Rodriguez's Planet Terror.
I can only assume that at one point or another they will both be released individually and then together in some massive collector's edition in an effort to recoup the money they expected with the theatrical release only to be awarded with just shy of $25 million.
The site has no other word on the release other than release date and the absense of Planet Terror, so stay tuned as I am sure we will be hearing more sometime soon.

I saw Grindhouse in theaters twice, and as much as I loved the experience, Planet Terror is nowhere near as great as Death Proof. I would watch it more anyways, so I can't see much wrong with this release…
