Greatest Horse Story Ever?
Unless they just make this about a horse owner. Noooooo!
I have some good news and I have some bad news. The good news is:
Disney has nabbed the rights to the life story of Penny Chenery, owner of 1973 Triple Crown winner Secretariat.
Hmmm, well actually that's the bad news too. You see, Secretariat is the best real life horse story out there. A Triple Crown winner who destroyed all challengers at the Belmont, winning by an incredible 31 lengths. That's 31 horseys he was ahead by when he crossed the finish line. That is, as B-Luv likes to say, "kooky talk."
But this whole thing about "the life story of Penny Chenery" I could care less about. Yeah, I've seen her in the ESPN story on Secretariat and she was pretty much an old woman who owned a bunch of horses. Think of Aunt May at the race track. Not good times.
The other bad news is Disney. Won't they be forced to make this cheesy (as opposed to mythical like that monster Secretariat actually was)? Any chance I can get hired on to write the script guys? I'll do it on spec (which I believe means free).
Here's the grainy video of Secretariat winning the final leg of the Triple Crown. Let's see some of this action guys. Hold the Aunt May.
