Gosnell Directing 'The Book Club'
New rom-com set up at Weinstein Co.
Raja Gosnell, or the guy that directed the Scooby-Doo movies, is set to direct the romantic comedy The Book Club for the Weinstein Co.
The story concerns a man discovering the dirty secrets of an all-female book club. He enlists their help in getting his estranged girlfriend back in return for not ratting them out to the men in their lives. Lauren Iungerich and Brad Follmer penned the script.
To say Gosnell's directing history is not exactly filled with hits is an understatement. Aside from the Scooby-Doo flicks he also notched Big Momma's House and Yours, Mine and Ours in his belt.
