Gordon-Levitt Confirmed and Juno Temple Eyed for 'Dark Knight Rises' Role

UPDATE: Joseph Gordon-Levitt's role in the film has been revealed to be Alberto Falcone, you can get more on the casting here.

Variety is confirming Joseph Gordon-Levitt will reunite with his Inception director, Christopher Nolan, for The Dark Knight Rises. Yet, the role remains unknown.

The trade also says Juno Temple (Year One) is being eyed for a supporting role as "a street-smart Gotham girl."

The Dark Knight Rises is slated to hit theaters on July 20, 2012 with Christian Bale returning along with Michael Caine, Gary Oldman and Morgan Freeman. Tom Hardy will play the film's lead villain Bane and Anne Hathaway will play Selina Kyle. Shooting is expected to take place in London and Los Angeles in May.

    Brad, it's Juno Temple (like Ellen Page's famous character).

    This girl has something about her. She has played stubborn and yet naive characters in Atonement and Cracks.

    Jordan (Ridley's Daughter) Scott's Cracks is excellent and I understand that you guys over the pond have just got hold of it. Temple is compelling in that.

    This is a good surprise for me. She'll have roles thrown at her after this.
