Clooney set to star and direct his own work
George Clooney is ready to show off his talent as he is set to star and direct the pic he penned along with Grant Heslov, Goodnight. And Good Luck.
The pic is based on actual events and will star Clooney along with David Strathairn and Patricia Clarkson. It follows the story of broadcaster Edward R. Murrow's on-air confrontations with Sen. Joseph McCarthy, which helped bring down the infamous politician.
The movie will highlight Murrow (Strathairn) and his producer David Friendly (Clooney) during the historic confrontations of the House of Un-American Activities Committee's anti-Communist hearings.
