Mark Millar (Wanted) is working with an unnamed director on what he is calling the Magnum Opus of Superman stories, an 8-hour saga, split into 3 films to be released a year apart, in Lord of the Rings fashion. He tells Empire Online, "I want to start on Krypton, a thousand years ago, and end with Superman alone on Planet Earth, the last being left on the planet, as the yellow sun turns red and starts to supernova, and he loses his powers."

IGN has up a list of the Top 10 Kills from the Saw movies. Strangely enough, they have age gated it.

Atari is making videogame sequels to Ghostbusters and The Chronicles of Riddick.

SET PICS: Pics from Sherlock Holmes with Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law are now online as are a couple from Kick-Ass and they look dumb.

Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura talked about G.I. Joe saying, "I think that, more than anything, what differentiates it from a lot of these big movies is that there are eight or nine very well-drawn characters." Bleh.

SlashFilm points us to three early reviews from a test screening of Pixar's Up saying the film "combines a bittersweet coming of age story with an unexpected friendship". That it was "somewhat dark with many adult themes (aging, loss, separation and unfinished promises)". You can read one here, another here and another small one here.

DVDTimes has artwork for The Dark Knight Blu-ray release and DVD release.

If you go here you will see what is apparently the motorcycle driven by Snake Eyes in the G.I. Joe movie.

SlashFilm has a mock-up poster putting John McCain's face on the new Saw V poster and a Joker style Jack-o-Lantern.

RUMORS: American Pie 4? Christian Bale as Marvel's Dr. Strange? Mummy 4 without Brendan Fraser? Hulk 2 vs. Leader? Who's Leader?

Ain't It Cool has a test screening review of Tony Gilroy's Duplicity starring Clive Owen and Julia Roberts.

New pictures from Sam Raimi's Drag Me To Hell are online at MTV.

Finally, we have this mini clip from Japanese TV station NHK from Dragonball.

Bold move on that superman thing.
Leaving no room for prequels or more installments after.
(prob won't stop the studio's if it's succesfull tho)

A dr. Strange movie could get interesting.
Marvel's on a roll and getting in the competitors hot seller shows how well they're doing.

I seriously think comic book movies are good and all. but they are going to get old … i mean what are they going to do movie wise when im 30 . What comic book character would they do when they are doing everysingle one right now .

And how long is that going to be, I'm 32 and I still enjoy them.
I'll still enjoy them in three years when Avengers should be coming out.
The next few years are not gonna be a problem.

    @ranman14:

I think the goal is to establish the characters now so that later down the line they can introduce more complex story-lines and crossovers (e.g. The Avengers in 2010).
