Giamatti as Rove? Jones as Rumsfeld? Toby as Rove?
More 'W' casting rumors and I dig it
Sorry guys, I am interested in the George W. Bush biopic W, which Oliver Stone is directing, so you are going to hear more than you probably would like about the production. Then again, you don't have to click so I feel safe.
The latest rumors going around have Toby Jones or Paul Giamatti playing Bush's boy Karl Rove and Tommy Lee Jones is being sought after to take on the role of the 13th Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld.
Giamatti or Jones would work as Rove and Tommy Lee seems to nail just about every role he inhabits as of late. The Giamatti tip comes via New York Mag and they do say he may not actually be up for Rove and it is merely speculation as they saw Stone and Giamatti chatting at the Edison Café near Times Square but couldn't make out the conversation. Interestingly enough the article says Giamatti based his villain character in the awful Shoot 'Em Up on Rove, something I had not heard before.
