Can't wait to see what they look like color corrected...

If you haven't seen our stills from John Hillcoat's The Road maybe you should give them a look in our gallery right here before taking a look at the behind-the-scenes photos snapped up by Quiet Earth from the personal website of Jeremy Ambler to give you some idea as to how they will look through the lens of Hillcoat's director of photography Javier Aguirresarobe.
The photo above is just one of several looks at the victims The Man (Viggo Mortenson) and The Boy (Kodi Smit-McPhee) come across as they travel a lonely road in a world destroyed by some unknown cause. The film is based on Cormac McCarthy's Pulitzer Prize winning novel of the same name and hits theaters on November 14. Unfortunately pics are all we have so far as The Weinsteins and Dimension have yet to release a proper trailer, but at least it's something.

The movie opens 5 weeks from tomorrow and there's no trailer yet? Besides those who've read the book (and we movie-geeks) does anyone know this movie is coming?
I guess their going digital with the amputees? Lame. Theres plenty of amputee actors out there…I know thats a stupid thing to nitpick, but still….
The whole no trailer thing has me a bit worried…I mean, I understand its a fairly low budget production, but come on, dont they what to get their money back?
From what I understand there is still some final editing going on. I also heard today that Mt. St. Helens here in Washington is going to be part of the poster, which a local publicist told me they saw already.
I know for a fact that the there was a casting call for a leg amputee. Whether they found one or not is a different story.
Ah….interesting. Well thats cool…again, I know thats a dumb thing to be bothered by, but yeah….
Mt. St. Helens? God, I hope they dont state specifically what the global disaster is…that would REALLY piss me off.
Nah, they just shot footage there and are probably using it as a backdrop or something. She didn't give me any specifics and despite begging wouldn't send me the poster either. :(
Ah ok…thats one thing I loved about the book, the ambiguity of it all. He gave little tiny hints about what it COULD have been but no definitive answer.
Someone pass the salt. Those guys look yummy!
