Get a Taste of Michael Shannon in 'Revolutionary Road'

Michael Shannon plays John Givings in Sam Mendes' Revolutionary Road. John has been committed to an institution for psychiatric evaluation and this is the first time he is seen in the film as he is given four hours leave with his family (Kathy Bates and Richard Easton) and they have chosen to take him to meet Frank and April Wheeler (Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet). The clip below is only a taste of what Shannone brings to his moments in the film so don't worry, you aren't spoiling anything at all by watching it, as a matter of fact this is such a small dose you still have a WHOLE LOT to look forwarad to once you see the full meal deal.
Revolutionary Road hits theaters on December 26.

My God. I've seen what I've been dying to see. I really hope Michael Shannon gets nominated.
Hmm, if this is really only a taste, I may have a great time when I go see "Revolutionary Road." But the Best Supporting Actor has been earmarked for Heath Ledger since July. Sorry, Shannon, you'll have to get by with a nomination alone.
@JM: Ledger will not win, The Dark Knight will not win.
Why is it that every article that I read, there's a comment about "The Dark Knight" or Ledger. It was that good of a movie, and Ledger performance wasn't so mighty either.
I agree that it was a good film, one of the best of the year. But it doesn't deserve the hype that it's getting. People are hailing it as the greatest movie ever and are making Ledger as a lock for best supporting actor. THERE ARE NO LOCKS!!
Sorry, that this rant had nothing to do with Michael Shannon, I just had to get that off my chest cause I'm really getting angry with TDK being so over hyped.
btw, i hope Shannon wins. So everyone that declared Ledger as a lock will look stupid.
It is simply foolish to say that Ledger's performance in The Dark Knight "wasn't so mighty." It was nothing short of incredible.
Looks like Roger Ebert is on board, saying: "With a performance by Heath Ledger as the Joker that will surely win an Oscar".
