Gellar, Watanabe and Luna Take in 'Air'
Crime drama nabs a trio.
How does Sarah Michelle Gellar continue to find work? Hasn't she proven in such films as Scooby-Doo and I Know What You Did Last Summer that she is only B-level eye candy at best? Yet she continues to find work. First it was with Richard Kelly for Southland Tales, then the videogame adaptation Alice (which she may actually be able to pull off) and now she is cast alongside Ken Watanabe and Diego Luna in The Air I Breathe for helmer Jieho Lee, whom I have never heard of.
The film is described as a crime drama based on an ancient Chinese proverb that breaks life down into four emotional cornerstones — happiness, pleasure, sorrow and love.
The film is scheduled to begin shooting in Mexico City in January.

How can someone say that she is a B- level eye candy? Have you seen her in cruel intentions????
Come on Vocom, I liked Cruel Intentions just as much as everyone else and yes she was sexy, B-level sexy. Not saying I don't mind looking at her, but she isn't so hot that it outweighs how poor an actress she is.
I just have to ask one more thing, in witch way do you think she is a bad actress? It has to be a reason for why she is getting many roles.. Have you seen her in Buffy? And I don't just watch her because she is fine to look at, she is and good actress… So tell me why she is bad actress…
u haven't heard of me because this is going to be my first feature (I come from a music video and commercial background–shot a 35mm short that went to sundance a few years back…). I respect the fact you have a voice–however–and your posting gave me a nice laugh. I gotta tell ya, I respect the public–I just hope I can prove you wrong.
Either way–let me know what you think when the film comes out. I'd be interested to know.
