Gaze at Six 'Hangover 2' Character Posters
The Wolfpack part deux
Pushing aside all the Cannes Film Festival talk for a second, a batch of six character posters from The Hangover Part II have just arrived giving you a look at five familiar characters and one new face.
I've only watched the teaser trailer for the film, which I thought was excellent, but am hearing from just about everyone that watched the follow-up theatrical trailer that it looks like we're dealing with the same film, only this time it is set in Bangkok. The natural reaction to this is to say, "Well, what did you really expect?"
I guess, for me, I always expected to be dealing with the same scenario — lost friend, gotta find him, get into trouble on the way — but as long as the gags from point A to point B aren't the same, and if they stick to the 96-minute running time things should be fine.
I am a bit curious about the recent casting of Nick Cassavetes to replace Liam Neeson as the "celebrity cameo". The role, unless I am mistaken, is that of a tattoo artist, which I assume is how Stu (Ed Helms) gets his Mike Tyson-esque face tattoo. I am just wondering if we are going to get the Cassavetes of Face/Off and perhaps a little mocking of the John Woo action thriller as well.
Who knows, we'll find out soon enough as the film hits theaters on May 26, 2011. The posters are directly below and you can get a slightly larger look at the group in the gallery right here.
