'Game' Time for Butler and Michael Hall
Crank boys putting together an interesting flick
The two boys behind Crank and the upcoming Crank 2, Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, are setting up an interesting film with a couple of cool cats in the lead as Gerard Butler and "Dexter" star Michael C. Hall will star in Game reports CHUD.com.
The pic is set in a near-future where a Massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) called Slayers is hugely popular. The way the game works is through mind control technology, and players actually control other humans. The Slayers champion is Kable (Butler), and his latest mission is to break free of the mind control and rediscover his identity. Ken Castle, the big bad guy in the film, the guy pulling the strings, will be played by Hall.
CHUD reports that Game is casting now, with shooting to begin in January.
