'Game Plan' Delayed to an Injured Rock

Man, I don't ever want to know what it feels like to have a ruptured Achilles tendon, or to have anything nasty happen to my Achilles. Just the thought of it takes me back to Pet Sematary when Gage sliced that poor dude's Achilles with the scalpel… Oooo, that musta hurt.
Anyway, word out of Variety is that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson ruptured his Achilles tendon rehearsing for his role as a pro quarterback for Disney's football comedy The Game Plan.
Rock is going to have to go under the knife on Friday in Miami and the picture is going to have to wait until he heals.
"My injury, while serious, is unfortunately common with this type of activity. I am so appreciative of the outpouring of support that I have received from Disney and all those involved with this film," Johnson said in a statement.
