'Out of the Furnace', 'Jackass: Bad Grandpa' and 'Gimme Shelter' in Today's MPAA Ratings

A lot of titles in today's update, but only a few standouts

MPAA Ratings for Gimme Shelter, How I Live Now, Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa, Out of the Furnace and an extended cut of We're the Millers
Latest MPAA Ratings: BULLETIN NO: 2292

We've got an interesting collection of films in today's MPAA ratings bulletin beginning with AFI Festival Gala participant Out of the Furnace starring Christian Bale, Zoe Saldana and Casey Affleck among many others. The film is directed by Crazy Heart helmer Scott Cooper and is pegged to be an Oscar possibility, but no one has seen it yet so it's a big question mark for right now.

Next we have a couple of young actresses in new films including Vanessa Hudgens as a pregnant teen runaway in Gimme Shelter and Saoirse Ronan in Kevin Macdonald's How I Live Now and both have received an R-rating.

Finally, to no surprise Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa scored an R as Johnny Knoxville puts on some makeup and attempts to annoy average citizens. Should be funny.

Isn't the rating for the extended cut of We're The Millers the exact same as the rating for the theatrical version?

    • Corbin

That's what they want you to think.

I will not be watching Paranormal Whacktivity. That is all.

    • G-Man

      It has a strong 2.4 / 10 on IMDB

So is Gimme Shelter an R rating or PG-13? Cause you put R in your statement but have PG-13 on the list. Just wondering.

Im looking forward to Out of the Furnace. Anything with Christian Bale has my attention.
