FUNNY STUFF: 'King Kong' on Speed
This is good...
I just caught this YouTube video thanks to the folks over at Cinematical as they posted an article talking about some of the worst CGI in films, bad CGI that actually surprised them, and Peter Jackson's King Kong was at the top of their list. I must say I am happy to hear someone else finally say it. However, like them, I agree it deserved to win the Oscar for effects (Kong was amazing), but considering how good some of it was it is just shocking that some of it was so bad.
Their primary example is the obvious dino stampede, which could have been cut out of the film altogether. While this little video doesn't point out the bad effects, it does point out the silly nature of the scene and is also a good laugh on a Monday morning.
