Full 'Mummy 3' Trailer on Papa John's Website?
You have got to be kidding me!
Just when you thought marketing couldn't getting any more ridiculous for movies (Speed Racer tied in with Esurance anyone) I get an email in my inbox today telling me that Papa John's websites will be hosting the latest trailer for The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. Why doesn't Universal just say what they are thinking? "We think The Mummy 3 is a joke so we will use pizza to promote it."
Of all the half-assed ideas.
On top of that, I am not sure how it will work for you, but when you head to papajohns.com/mummy3/ it may take you for-fucking-ever to download the damned thing. What a great idea Universal. Maybe you can use Pampers to promote Eastwood's Changeling and Vagisil for Frost/Nixon. No, those decisions don't make any sense, but unless Jet Li is delivering pizza in The Mummy 3, neither does this decision.
