Full Video: Tom Hardy Talks 'The Dark Knight Rises' and 'Inception' Sequels
He's got a little bit of weight to gain
Recent BAFTA Audience Award winner, Tom Hardy recently sat down with Alan Carr on "Chatty Man" and talked a bit about his role as Bane (pictured right), the villain in the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises for director Christopher Nolan (Inception).
He reveals his character will be nothing like the version you saw in Joel Schumacher's Batman and Robin and that he's got under three months to get up to about 189-196 pounds, saying he weighs approximately 170 now.
Hardy also discussed, among other things, being signed for sequels to Inception should they decide to make them. This is no surprise and I personally don't expect a sequel, but crazier things have happened.
The Dark Knight Rises is slated to hit theaters on July 20, 2012 with Christian Bale returning along with Michael Caine, Gary Oldman and Morgan Freeman. Tom Hardy will play the film's lead villain Bane and Anne Hathaway will play Selina Kyle. Shooting is expected to take place in London and Los Angeles in May.

Can't wait to see BANE in action!!!!
Why does Inception need a sequel? Is Warner Bros. running out of ideas?
It most likely won't get one, just standard contract stuff at this point for films with franchise potential.
Technically speaking, the continuation of superhero movies, and such are not origional ideas. Inception was the closest thing to an origional movie in a while, though it was a bit Matrix-esc. Reguardless, I hope the Batman series continues to strive. And hopefully nolan revives superman.
This is truly one of the greatest talk-show interviews I've seen in a long time. It cracked me up. Also, we got some good info. Namely, Tom Hardy is interesting and oddly charming, and he likes to find the light in dark people. Can't wait to see his Bane now.
You know, I can't wait for The Dark Knight Rises and all, but I'm still frustrated over Catwoman.
CAN TOM HARDY BE ANY HOTTER?
Does Tom Hardy have lice?
