USA Today has published an arbitrary gallery of 13 new movies coming in 2013 and, of course, they are pretty much all the high profile, SEO-grabbing titles they could think of or films studios were willing to give them exclusive looks at.
The pictures include new looks at Zack Snyder's Superman film Man of Steel, Tom Cruise and Morgan Freeman in Oblivion, Jaden Smith in M Night Shyamalan's sci-fi After Earth, a couple of Gru's minions from Despicable Me 2, Brad Pitt in World War Z, the animated feature Epic and James Franco and Michelle Williams in Oz The Great and Powerful. If you weren't convinced it was merely a hit grab, just check out the photo for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, which is actually just a picture from the first film.
Either way, no biggie, they're a major national outlet without much interest in bringing attention to some of the films people may actually not know are being released, something I hope to remedy next week with my five-day, 50 film preview of my most anticipated films of the new year. For now, check out these photos and I'll bring you my preview starting on Monday.
