A 'Friends' Movie Planned?

Have all the good ideas disappeared?

A new addition to the "not-a-chance" pile has come in courtesy of The Sunday Express via DarkHorizons as reports are wandering around the UK saying there is talk that the cast may reunite for a silver screen outing.

Below is a clip from the report as detailed by The Digital Spy:

The Sunday Express claims that David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston have both expressed in the project which would make each of the six lead cast members £10 million richer.

The newspaper quotes an insider as saying: "Although the cast have gone their different ways, none of them has quite repeated the success they had with Friends.

"And while Friends may be over as a television entity there are many who have believed for some time that people had not quite had enough of them just yet.

"David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston are the first to make positive noises regarding the film and it is thought once they are on board the others will follow suit."

If this even comes to fruition it is just a sign of how poorly the actors careers have gone in their post-Friends era. Courteney Cox-Arquette has a couple of films coming out soon with a small appearance in The Longest Yard remake and November, and David Schimmer is voicing the giraffe character in DreamWorks Animation's Madagascar.

As for the rest of the "Friends" cast, Jennifer Aniston has her film career locked up even if her personal life seems to be in shambles, Lisa Kudrow will be seen on the new HBO drama "The Comeback," Matt LeBlanc of course has his NBC sitcom spinoff "Joey" and Matthew Perry may have the smallest amount of work as he is starring in and producing The Beginning of Wisdom, which is currently in production.

An attempt was made a while back to create a feature film adaptation of "Sex and the City," and that fell through, so the likelihood of a sitcom getting a feature film turn before it is 30 years old seems unlikely unless it is made-for-TV.
