FOX and Spidey Spin Network TV Deal
Looks like Sony is already cashing in on Spider-Man 2 success as part of a 10-year deal they stand to gain $50 million from the Fox Network and its FX cable sibling in the broadcast/cable window as Fox gets three runs of the movie during the first three years, beginning in December 2006. Early in 2010, Sony will be able to sell Spider-Man 2 to other broadcast networks in a shared window with FX for the last seven years of the contract, a strategy that could funnel another $10 million in license fees into Sony's coffers.
