Four Tapped for 'Phoebe in Wonderland'
Fanning is going to be a rebelious little girl
The Cannes Film Festival news breaks are rolling in and this next one brings news that Felicity Huffman, Patricia Clarkson, Bill Pullman and Elle Fanning (pictured) are set to star in Phoebe in Wonderland for first-time director Daniel Barnz.
Barnz also penned the script in which Fanning plays a rebellious little girl who clashes with the rule-obsessed authority figures in her life. She seeks enlightenment from her unconventional drama teacher (Clarkson).
This is Barnz first trip into the feature film director's chair, but he did pen Sugarland of which Jodie Foster is directing and starring in alongside Robert De Niro. That pic is about Jamaican cane workers in Florida. She will play a civil rights attorney. De Niro costars as the plantation owner.
