Four RKO Classics about to Get Twisted
'Snatcher' and 'Bedlam' among the chosen ones
Twisted Pictures has formed a joint venture with RKO Pictures with plans to remake four horror pics from the RKO library. Normally I wouldn't report on something like this, but if they do it right these could be pretty good.
Variety reports three of the four titles will be the Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi thriller The Body Snatcher, I Walked With a Zombie and a second Karloff flick in Bedlam. The fourth film is yet to be selected.
The chances these flicks will see theaters I would say is 50-50, but here is to hoping some directors can do well as the movies will be budgeted at $10 million-$20 million. No distributor has been set.
Twisted Pictures is the group behind the Saw franchise, which has a fourth film coming out this Halloween.
