Four 'Cloverfield' Cast Members Named
The cat is slowly leaking out of the bag
As details slowly begin to emerge on this already draining "secret J.J. Abrams project" Cloverfield we now have a few cast members as The Hollywood Reporter drudged up some new details on the flick:
The casting process was just as mysterious. No scripts or even scene pages were sent out; agents who were contacted were simply asked if their client wanted to be in the movie or not. Eventually a cast, made up mostly of relative unknowns, was put together; it includes Michael Stahl-David ("The Black Donnellys"), Odet Jasmin, Mike Vogel (pictured) and Lizzy Kaplan ("The Class").
Cloverfield began shooting in mid-June in New York on a modest budget of about $30 million and is set for a January 18, 2008 release. Matt Reeves is directing.
