Las Vegas named their Lifetime Achievement Award after William Holden? That's Awesome!

Good to see Mickey Rourke gaining more ground, although I wonder if voters in the Academy will not vote for him, afraid that he'll be a mess at the ceremony.

Oh, and sorry about my previous comment on this article BB.

Brad @William: No need for an apology, you helped out. :)

Frost/Nixon chosen as best picture of '08?!

Awesome, i liked Frost/Nixon, i think it's underrated and should get more consideration.

It should def. get an Oscar nod for best picture.

Best Supporting Actor: Heath Ledger, The Dark Knight (no runner-up)

    Ha, right on!

Wow, Vegas sure loved them some Frost/Nixon. And I'm glad to see Andrew Stanton get at least one nod. I think animation directors don't get nearly enough credit. I bought a script of Finding Nemo autographed by most of the actors, which was pretty cool, but opening it to see that Andrew Stanton had signed the title page really made me geek out. His passion at Comic-Con as he presented WALL-E was palpable, and you could tell he really cared about the story. He's a big part of the core of Pixar (I think he was something like the fourth guy hired when it was still part of Lucasfilm) and deserves the recognition.

God does Kate winslet have to get nominated just for releasing a new film. She's a good actress but how many nominations does she have now!!

Hope Heath wins he deserves it.

Good for Martin Mcdonagh he is very talented. Colin Farrell and Brendan gleeson deserve their golden globe nom too.
